When it comes to understanding what makes some great and others not so great it’s a matter of understanding why feedback is important. It has been said that what produces leaders is the ability for people to listen and to take what they hear and put that to work. I get it. It’s not always the easiest thing in the world either.
I find that many folks I network with still haven’t gotten hold of the fact that feedback isn’t criticism. In fact, it’s considered constructive criticism, but it’s also a new way of looking at things too. Keep in mind that not everyone that gets results is happy either. Some folks still have a way of making themselves miserable from every angle no matter how others try and help them.
This is why it’s so important to understand that truly feedback is critical. It’s one of the most important things you’ll ever get from anyone so treat it like a gift. Today, I want to share with you some specific highlights on why feedback is important for your success, and why you don’t need to fret over it but take it as a stepping stone in your life and in your business.

If you are to value the feedback you’ll be getting then it’s important to understand the two types of feedback that exist. These are easy to remember, but you need to understand the difference between the two and why they matter so much.
- Internal feedback-this is what you get from yourself. This means that you know how you feel about what is happening with the results of what is happening in your life and in your business. Are you feeling positive? Are you feeling less than on top of your game? If so, this is all internal.
- External feedback-naturally, external means what is happening around you or outside of you. You can’t seem to escape it and you can feel overwhelmed for sure. Perhaps you have been building a business for the past few years and you can’t seem to make any progress. This also means that you are focusing on the negative aspects of what is happening in your life. This is negative feedback. What you need now is positive feedback for sure. It’s hard in a world full of negativity to focus on the good but you must. This is all part of the feedback process that you need to understand hold onto.

Why Feedback is Important Even if You Don’t Understand it All!
You won’t understand everything immediately about your life and why or how it happens. That is okay. Remember, it’s not a race. The idea is to make sure that the feedback you are getting is only good and positive! This will keep your mind on the right track so that you are only focused on moving full speed ahead. Negative thoughts can put you in a holding pattern so that you won’t be able to achieve success.
Feedback is critical because it’s one way of feeding your mind. Hence the term feedback! Over time you’ll discover that the more you feed your mind in a positive way the less likely it is for the negative stuff to creep in. You’ll be able to monitor those thoughts and you’ll discover that as you think more positively, your results in life and business will also be more positive too!
